Looking ahead, the next challenge for Zheng Qinwen will be the Union Cup on December 27th. Alongside her partner Zhang Zhizhen, they will lead the Chinese team in their first match against Brazil. The schedule for the Chinese team in the Union Cup includes a singles match between Zheng Qinwen and Maya, followed by Zhang Zhizhen taking on Monteiro. The mixed doubles match is yet to be determined.

On December 30th, China will face Germany in another exciting encounter. Zhang Zhizhen will go head-to-head with Zverev, while Zheng Qinwen will face Siegemund. The mixed doubles match is still to be confirmed.

This year's Union Cup features a total of 18 teams, divided into six groups with three teams in each group. The ACE group matches will take place in Perth, while the BDF group matches will be held in Sydney. After the group stage, the top team from each group, as well as the two best-performing second-placed teams from each region, will advance to the quarter-finals. From there, the competition will unfold with the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately the final.
